3 Must Have Bliss Ball Recipes

Ahhhhh the bliss ball! Probably quite honestly the most popular snack to grace the pages and photo’s of Instagram!

I don’t know about you but I truly love a good bliss ball for so many reasons:

  • They are super customizable

  • Super nutrient dense

  • Easy to make, eat on the go, and store

  • Taste like cookie dough, but TOTALLY are not

  • Easy blood sugar balancing snack you DON’T have to think about

  • And soooo much more!

So becasue I LOVE bliss balls so much I thought I’d give you my favourite bliss ball recipes right now!

Golden Milk Apricot Protein Balls

Ingredients:

1 cup dried Apricots

1 cup pitted Medjool Dates

2 tbsp Goji Berries

2 tbsp  Botanica Turmeric Golden Milk superfood mix (you can find this at your local health food store or buy it here)

1 tbsp Chia Seeds

2 tbsp Coconut Oil

1/3 cup PLUS 1 tbsp Peanut Butter (or you can use almond butter BUT try the PB if you can, its to die for)

1 scoop of your favourite unflavoured (or vanilla) Protein Powder

How to make:

  1. Add your dates and apricots to a food processor. Pulse until dried fruit is broken into chunks.

  2. Add in all other ingredients and process until mixture reaches a dough like consistency.

  3. Form into desired sized balls and then roll in coconut flakes OR cacao powder! Place in a sealed glass container to keep.

Peanut Butter Oat Cookie Bites

Ingredients:

1 cup Old Fashioned Oats

2 tbsp ground Flax Seeds

2 tbsp Chia Seeds

2 tbsp Hemp Seeds

1/2 cup mini Dark Chocolate Chips

2/3 cups Natural Almond Butter

1 tbsp Coconut Oil

1 tsp Pure Vanilla

3 tbsp Honey (or maple syrup if vegan)

How to make:

  1. Place almond butter, coconut oil, and honey in a sauce pan over low heat on the stove. Stir continuously so not to burn.

  2. Place all other ingredients, EXCEPT chocolate chips, in a medium bowl and combine.

  3. Once the ingredients on the stove have melted together add them to the bowl and mix in with the dry. Set aside to cool for 5 minutes.

  4. Once mixture has cooled add in chocolate chips, combine and roll into desired ball shapes.

Hazelnut Latte Collagen Bites

Ingredients:

1/4 cup Hazelnuts

2/3 cup Coconut Flour (I really like using Jans Coconut Flour as it isn't as dry and doesn't clump as much as most)

2 tbsp fresh Ground Coffee

1/4 cup Maple Syrup

1/4 cup Collagen of choice (I personally really like Further Food Collagen, which you can purchase  here and receive 10% off at checkout).

1 tsp of Pure Vanilla Extract (or for a stronger flavour I like using Vanilla Bean Powder)

1/3 cup Shredded Coconut for rolling

How to Make:

  1. Place all ingredients (except shredded coconut) in a medium bowl and combine.

  2. Once throughly combined use a small cookie scoop to form into individual balls (or place 2 tbsps of dough and shape by hand).

  3. Roll each ball in shredded coconut and then place in a sealed container.


For best shelf life all bliss balls should be placed in a sealed container and placed in the fridge as soon as possible. In the fridge they will keep up to 1 week. If carrying them when you are out and about on the go consume within 1 day. For a longer shelf life feel free to toss any of these in the freezer for up to 1 month!
