The Ultimate Wellness Gift Giving Guide

The Ultimate Wellness Gift Giving Guide

‘Tis the season to jolly, merry and bright! And while I am already watching a Christmas movie almost every night, snacking on some holiday treats, and have my tree/house all lit up I cannot help but think about how behind I am on the shopping aspect…

Now I am all about giving presence over presents, gifting experiences over things, and really eliminating the need to go out and spend tons of money…BUT also sometimes your love language is gift giving, and you truly enjoy it! I know personally in my household we are more experience over physical stuff BUT we also like to try and give each family member (and a few close friends) something small that they can unwrap and have.

Becasue the holiday’s can already be overwhelming enough as it is without factoring in what you are going to buy for friends and family I have decided to put a little gift giving guide together for you with a focus on health and wellness! These ideas are perfect for that wellness nut in your family/friend group as well as anyone who is looking to be a little bit more health focused OR has specific health goals they are trying to reach. All of the products also range in price from $17 and up so that there is something for each and every budget! Sooo...lets get started!

Botanica Superfood Lattes

Botanica Superfood Lattes

  1. Project Inside Out Wellness Side Kick. Okay sooo tbh I think everyone needs one of these babes BUT your health and wellness loving friend will fall HEAD OVER HEELS for this gift! The girls of Project Inside Out have worked really hard to bring you a health/wellness tracker, journal, AND day planner all in one place! Each day has a place for movement, self care, morning/night routines, budgets, and so so much more so that your health goals have never been easier to track OR reach! You can find them online by clicking here and if you wanna save some cash use the code Danielle10 to receive 10% off at checkout!

  2. Stasher Reusable Bags. Here is the thing..switching to reusable anything is such a smart idea! Not only for your health/health of the earth, but also for your bank account! Sure the up front cost might seem a little high BUT in the long run you actually save money! And Stasher has done such an amazing job at making reusable silicone ziplock type bags that there is no reason NOT to switch. You can cook in them (sous vi or steam style), freeze, or simple pack some treats for work/outings. These are seriously amazing little inventions and your wellness and earth conscious friend would be more than psyched to get these as a holiday gift. Wanna stuff someone stocking with a few? Click here to go directly to their site OR check out your local health store!

  3. Botanica Superfood Latte Mix. We have all been the person that gives teas, hot cocoa, or chocolates during the holidays. Its a great, easy, cost effective gift to give, and a great comforting one to receive. BUT why not take it to the next level for your health and wellness loving friend (or really anyone who like warm cozy drinks) and give out one of Botanica’s Superfood Lattes instead?! These drinks are super taste and bursting at the seams with superfoods like cacao, turmeric, reishi mushroom, and ashwagandha to name a few. They come all premixed for you so all you have to do is add some hot water/milk of choice!! They come in 3 different types; Chocolate Turmeric Golden Mylk, Reishi Hot Chocolate, and Turmeric Golden Mylk…And let me tell you I could not choose a favourite if I tried to! These babies can be bought online here or you can find them in most Whole Foods and Choices Market stores.

  4. Reusable Cups/Straws. Ahhh yes this old debate again! I am sure you have seen all over social media and also in the news that soon (the next 1-2 years depending where you live) plastic disposable straws and cups will no longer be available at cafes, restaurants, etc and trust me…your wellness buddy has probably already been on this train, OR wanting to get on it for awhile now! Reusable cups/straws, like the ones found here, make great gifts! They are practical, health conscious, and you can get some great designs too.

  5. Blue Support Self Care Box Subscription. I do not know a person who does not LOVE . receiving mail! Like come on…do you?! Blue Support is founded by a kick ass lady boss, Kate, a girl on a mission to help bring awareness and healing to mental health. One of the ways that she does this is by having a self care subscription box that gets delivered to your door step containing all things self care/love related! In the boxes you can find Giddy Yoyo Chocolate, Nada Natural Deodorant, Rowan and Oak beauty items, Nagi Power Bars, recipes/program deals from yours truly, and so so so much more! Want to send out a little self love/care for Christmas? You can sign up for either a yearly subscription OR just get 1 box here.

  6. Saje Wellness Essential Oil Diffuser. Nothing is better than walking into your house/room after a long day and it smelling just like heaven! Essential oil diffusers are the health and wellness junkies best friend not only becasue they make everything smell like heaven, BUT they are also sooo incredibly healing!!! You can get all different sorts of essential oil diffusers BUT in my experience Saje Wellness’s not only has such an amazing long life, buuut it also actually scents your whole room! To wrap with this up this holiday season you can head into a Saje Wellness store near your or head here to order online. PS looking for a scent to pair with your gift? The Good Karma and the Stress Release are bomb!

  7. Bath Salts. There is nothing like a nice hot, relaxing soak in the tub after a long day of killing it in the world! So why not give that gift to someone? I mean you don’t have to get in the tub with them or anything! Instead just wrap up an amazing container of bath salts! Now this is something you could easily make yourself for low cost, OR you can find tons of different ones in health foods stores, OR online here! If your choosing to buy your salts for someone make sure to choose either; magnesium flakes, epsom salts, sea salts, or Himalayan salts as these all promote relaxation of muscles and mental well being. Looking to make your own?! Simply grab a jar and mix a ratio of 1:1 epsom salts to magnesium flakes/sea salt (both can be found at any health food store, or drug store), add in 20 drops of essential oil of choice PER CUP of salt used (lavender, rose, eucalyptus, yang yang, frankincense, and sandalwood are all great choices) and combine together! If you want to add some flare throw in some dried lavender, roses petals, or lava salt for an extra visual aspect.

  8. Guide Journals. We all know just how great journaling can be for not only your mental well being, BUT it can also do wonders for your physical well being as well. This is why almost every health and wellness junkie is obsessed with journals! Guided journals like 52 Lists by Moorea Seal is a set of journals (3 different ones) that guide you to journal by creating lists on certain topics like; happiness, togetherness, and everyday things. There is also the 5 Minute Journal created by Intelligent Change that guides through a gratitude journal entry.

  9. Sleep Mask. Sleep is such an important part of health and wellness and giving the gift of sleep is hard to do! BUT giving a sleep mask, which will keep it nice and dark for sleep, is the next best thing! You can find sleep masks almost anywhere these days but my favourite ones I have ever have been the Shut Eye from Saje Wellness OR this silk one from Sephora. Both can easily be stuffed in a stocking, paired with a good book, or given just as is!

  10. Soy/Beeswax Candles. Candles are always such an amazing gift to get and give. You can personalize them with different scents, sizes, and even colours! Any health and wellness fan would be thrilled to get some high quality candles made from soy or bees wax for the holidays to help support any of their daily rituals from reading, journaling, doing yoga, long baths, or just for relaxing on the couch. When buying candles it is important to look for ones that have been naturally scented with essential oils OR plants to help promote less toxins in the air in your home. You can find candles like this at almost any home/health store, or you can grab some online here.
